A Southern First Date
It was September of 2016 and Sarah had just started a new job. Little did she know she was working for the same company as her future husband. Within a short amount of time, their paths crossed, and they were set onto a course of love that they never would have been expected. Nick noticed Sarah right away. Like any true southern gentleman with a crush, he began holding doors open and finding little ways to interact with her. So sweet ya’ll!
Not long after their first meeting Nick found the perfect way for them to hangout, their company tailgate! He asked Sarah if she was going and it sparked the first of many conversations. At the tailgate the next day, one of their work friends offered them tickets to the Alabama game. This really is a true southern love story! They both went, got to know each other, and the rest of the story is history!
Surprise Proposal
Nick and Sarah went to the beach with Sarah’s family for the week of July 4th. Nick asked Sarah if they could get photos taken together since they hadn’t done that before. Since Nick is a photographer, Sarah didn’t think anything of it! During the photoshoot, she was facing the opposite direction, when Sarah turned around, there Nick was. On one knee. The day was a blur, but she remembers how perfect the moment was. And of course, they will be able to treasure the photos of the moment forever. Yes, we think everyone should have photos of their proposal! To top off the day, Sarah’s family was there to celebrate with champagne!
A Classic, Timeless Day
Nick and Sarah’s wedding was a culmination of all the joy and excitement that they held in during their engagement. The day was stunning and so much of that was determined by Sarah’s incredible vision. From the exquisite reception flowers to their getaway car, it was all so timeless and joyful. The wedding was Nick and Sarah!
Their day was classic and clean–showcasing romantic pieces such as the invitations and heirloom jewelry. They included a necklace given to Sarah by her grandmother, and Nick’s ring belonged to Sarah’s grandfather (the same grandfather that was married to the grandmother whom gave Sarah the necklace). Really?! We know you are thinking how adorable that is! Sarah wanted her flowers to have a very “Princess Diana” feel with a hint of romance and elegance! She’s a classy Delta Gamma! She got that and more with arrangements filled with classic hydrangeas, roses with a modern succulent added to the mix.
Nick made all the signs for the ceremony and reception. Yes, he is the dream husband! Each sign was personal to them. One at the entrance of the beautiful St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church said “I have found the one whom my soul loves.” -Song of Solomon 3:4
